In the 2021 New Jersey gubernatorial election, Jack Ciattarelli narrowly lost out to incumbent Phil Murphy by a margin of 51.2% to 48%. Phil Murphy is unable to run for a third consecutive term due to term limits and that has opened the field up for plenty of new candidates to make their run for Governor.
