AI and ChatGPT have risen very quickly to prominence recently and have snuck their way into people’s everyday lives helping with school, work, and other everyday tasks. The newest use for this technology that is gaining popularity is how it can help you shop better. Rich DeMuro, host of ‘Rich on Tech’ on WOR Sundays, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about how ChatGPT can help streamline your shopping experience.
“If you are looking for a product, a recommendation, reviews, now you can search and ask ChatGPT in natural language ‘Hey, I’m looking for the best coffee maker’,” DeMuro told host Larry Mendte. “You can get very specific, and I think that is what the real benefit is of using ChatGPT to help you shop.”
DeMuro believes the technology is useful but still thinks checking multiple sources is important: “At the end of the day, it’s still going to be best to look at people like myself that actually try these products in real life but I think this is a really nice way of slicing and dicing the information that’s available online across these different reviews.”
